    Stone We Use

Unlike the cheap metals and poor-quality simulated stones used in costume jewelry, Shine of Diamond only use lab-created gems and Moissanite as the main gem materials, well crafted in specially treated sterling silver. Through our excellent design and cutting technology, to show you the color, fire, and brilliance like a real diamond.

Not everyone wants to pay for mined diamonds. Their high cost and poor investment value are just two reasons you might opt for an alternative. Of course, the lab-made gemstones also offer the same beauty and sparkle as any natural diamond.

Lab created gemstones are grown in highly controlled laboratory environments using advanced technological processes that duplicate the conditions under which diamonds naturally develop. Lab created gemstones display the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as natural diamonds, and exhibit the same fire, scintillation, and sparkle. Lab created gemstones offer excellent value and provide a mining-free alternative to naturally sourced.
Moissanite has unbelievable fire and brilliance that exceeds that of a diamond. In fact, it exceeds any known gemstone or other man-made material.Greater dispersion (“fire”) and refractive index (“brilliance”) create more sparkle than any other known gemstone.Harder than a sapphire and second in hardness only to a diamond.Extremely resistant to scratching, abrasion, breaking, and chipping.
Just like diamonds, moissanite ranges in color from clear to colored. From a scale of D for colorless to Z for a slight yellow tint. Moissanite color grades are broken down into three major groups:
      1. Colorless: Comparable to a D, E, or F color grade
      2. Slightly Colorless: Comparable to a G, H, or I color grade
      3. Yellow Tinted: Comparable to a J or K color grade
Clarity grade indicates the number of imperfections, known as inclusions. Nearly all gemstones have inclusions, but luckily for moissanite, most of its inclusions are not visible to the naked eye and require intense magnification to be seen.
Moissanite’s clarity is graded depending on the number of inclusions the stone has. These grades can be brown down into five easy to understand categories:
      1. FL, IF: Flawless and internally flawless
      2. VVS1, VVS2: Very, very slightly included
      3. VS1, VS2: Very slightly included
      4. SI1, SI2: Slightly included
      5. I1, I2, I3: Included

Sterling silver is an alloy, or combination of metal types. Unlike pure silver, which contains 99.9% elemental silver (Ag), sterling silver (925) contains one or more additional metals that add strength to the otherwise delicate material. Pure silver is naturally very soft, and would easily bend or break if used for jewelry without being blended with a stronger metal.
Real sterling silver is also prone to tarnishing. This is because of the copper the silver is mixed with to keep it hard and durable. The copper reacts to oxygen, moisture, and sulfur in the air. That's why you need to regularly clean real silver to keep it looking shiny and new.
If you see any signs of tarnishing when shopping for jewelry, it's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, when it comes to sterling silver, it's a sign that it's real. Look out for dull patches or small black marks on any piece before you buy it.
Sterling silver rings that are real are especially prone to tarnishing on the inside where they may have come into contact with skin. Try polishing your silver with a soft wh polishing cloth or dipping it into a jewelry cleaning solution. After that, it's as good as new.
